Jamie Hageman is a painter of the natural landscapes of the Highlands of Scotland. As an adventurer and climber, he is deeply passionate about the visual mountain form.

"I spend my time looking at a mountain from all possible viewpoints, choosing the one that shows it at its most striking. This usually involves multi-day trips in Winter to hard-to-reach spots, that make the discovery of a great view all the more revelatory and satisfying."

"With my painting, I can build on the light, contrasts and conditions that enhance the beauty of a mountain scene, and I can give strength and body to the emotions I experienced when I was there, and hopefully evoke them within the viewer."
