New Year, new paintings
Snow has arrived on the Scottish mountains this week, and I've completed two new paintings inspired by some recent trips out. Both are classic ridge climbs in the Highlands - The Forcan Ridge of The Saddle in Glen Shiel, and The Devil's Ridge of The Mamores range above Glen Nevis. Under snow and ice, these ridges are magnificent with pinnacles, snow crests, notches and all manner of interesting features along their length - proper mountaineering routes that are exciting to climb and paint.
