Forest Path - a large new painting

I began sketching and planning for this piece last Autumn. Painting then started in March, and it's taken me until now to complete it and deliver it to its owners. At 1.6m tall it's not quite the largest work on canvas that I've produced, but it's taken me the longest. Lots and lots of complex detail, layers and points of interest. There are paintings within the painting. The view is based on Loch Shiel from Glenfinnan at sunset.
